Gateway Medical Clinic – Center for Retina and Macular Disease, Lakeland, FL
The Center for Retina & Macular Disease was commissioned in 2009 by Dr. David Misch, one of the area’s foremost authorities in macular degenerative disease.
An overall art deco theme that was carefully crafted throughout the design. It includes an oversized entry porte cochere as a main focal element of the building front façade. Maximizing the building’s overall size and parking within a compressed site was a key challenge. Also critical was the resolution of independent staff/employee access to both floors that was separated from the main entry for the general public.
